Technologies for improving plants are decades old and very slow to generate results, little has changed in thousands of years. Climate change is accelerating and the world is running out of time to make adjustments to how we live.
Phytoform Labs are working to make agriculture more sustainable. The plant seed technology is creating a platform for making disease resistant, more nutritious seeds through their trait discovery and trait implementation solutions.
We sought out to create an inspiring brand identity that translates Phytoform’s positive and bold ambition through a unique visual system. Phytoform elevates the relationship between technology and real results, using it to unlock the potential of nature, with a focus on delivering a high end product to the end consumer. To better consolidate their brand ethos we used interaction, transparency, and geometry, with bold typography and a vibrant and positive color palette.
The concept is to pair Technology to Nature in harmony. The Logo captures the concept and frames “Plant” and “Technology” connection, combining a leaf illustration and a DNA sequencing pattern, as a visual metaphor to the Phytoform’s mission.
The Typography system embraces the same conceptual background, pairing two sans-serif fonts with contrasted weights to create a strong visual hierarchy and bring a sense of clarity to the messaging.
The color palette combines both neutral and accent colors to provide a flexible and diverse system when dealing with complex applications. In addition we add highlights where needed to structure the visual information.
Custom Imagery and photography compositions paired wit Technology/Nature inspired shapes and patterns add a dynamic and distinctive visual language to the Brand Identity. When brought together the identity elements provide a toolkit to create engaging and complex visual compositions.
The brand application shows the stretch of the identity to work with existing assets including printed collaterals, social media channels and Phytoform’s website and to future proof potential applications, unifying the brand experience and communication for years to come.
